There is another path. When we find the courage to connect and share our story with ours, we find that we are not alone in our suffering. We find forgiveness, acceptance, healing and peace. We realize the lies we have made up about ourselves to ourselves in response to the things that have happened to us have kept us from seeing our inherent value. Fear and shame melt away, as do the walls they have created. We find ourselves free to discover who we authentically are, and begin to live a life in connection and love, instead of isolation and fear.
